The costumes and art design in this movie are a masterpiece 🙌🏻 Gabriella Pescucci is an amazing costume designer. The cast, concept art, interpretation and the score were all wonderful. I will never understand any hate this movie got. I mean, anyway, it’s not meant to be taken literally or seriously. It’s fantasy fiction. It was fun and bold and full of color with iconic performances. Honestly they don’t really make movies like this anymore. Newer movies are overflooded with shortcut cgi and cheap effects. In this Van Helsing you can SEE the quality and hand-crafting of all the props costumes and set pieces. Beautiful. ❤️

Honestly this movie was pretty much one of my favorites as a kid. Watched it hundreds of times when I was 10. Loved every second of it. Great movie.

I never understood why the soldiers were on Imhotep's side because werent they the ones who killed Imhotep after he assassinated The Pharoah? I would have thought the soldiers would have been on the good guys side, unless thats what the inscription on the book does instead of actually controlling them it brings back their memories.
